euro 2004 is getting more and more exciting.. despite the sad exit of my beloved italy. i kinda suspect that there's a conspiracy going on between sweden and denmark.. sometimes i think italy are just pure unlucky. they are robbed of their chances of making it big. in world cup 2002.. it was that village referee. now.. they invent this stupid rule of counting the no. of goals against the 3 teams.. so even if italy had won 1000-0, they still won't qualify as long as sweden and denmark drew 2-2. sigh.
the england- portugal match last night was super exciting.. and the winner was decided by the most cruel way. penalties. james and ricardo were equally stressed. and so was beckham. he actually blasted the shot wide. portugal, on the other hand, kept their nerves. the subsequent players sent the ball right straight in the middle, leaving ricardo getting more and more frustrated with himself. he let in 3 penalties.. which were all taken in the same way. all he needed to do was to stay in position. rui costa missed his chance, and england and portugal are levelled again. owen hargareeves stepped up for england, this time ricardo stayed on his feet. the smarter owen chose to kick to his right, leaving ricardo rooted to the ground. it was 5-5 and the penalties continued, with players who can't take penalty kicks. vassel was next for england. and this time ricardo was determined not to get beaten again. his gloves were off, his eyes fixed on the ball. vassel sent the ball to the right, and ricardo blocked it off! it was then up to portugal to seal the victory. while deciding who shall take the next kick, ricardo stepped up quickly and sent the ball hard and low to the left. james chose the correct direction, but only too slow to block it. this was it. portugal won the game. ricardo has became their new hero.

as a movie buff, i watch movies of all genre.. except plotless and sensless horror movies. i seriously think that watching japanese/korean horror movies are an absolute waste of money. you are paying for a movie which requires you to read the subtitles to understand why the movie is scary.. and those long hair bloodied humans are just gross and makes you lose your appetite on ya popcorn. the worse thing is the hedious scenes won't stop replaying in ya mind for the next few days.. and the name of the lead actor becomes the taboo word of the month. in short, you are just paying money to make yourself miserable. and the fact that you now have $6.50++ (for popcorn n drinks or if you caught it during the weekends) less in your wallet makes it worse.

i saw my junior yday. the last time i saw her was more than a year ago. it happened when i was on my way to my teammate's place for bball dinner. they stay at the same area and there i was standing at the junction waiting for the lift when my junior's dad car passed by. we saw each other and waved. she came down from the car and we chatted. for less than 5 sentences. the feeling was really awkward. yes i do miss her and the training days at ny. but it just feels as though we've lost our common topic. for a moment i felt sad. it's as though i just lost a friend. op told me that it's just like that. and then you will start wondering why you guys had endless things to talk about in the past.
i guess she has entered my life and left. maybe she is only here to make up part of my life history. and maybe her chapter is already completed.

caught shrek 2 the other day. it's really cute!! those who haven't caught it must really really go watch it!! anw.. was flipping through the movie pages and this sign on the shrek 2 poster caught my eye. it wrote "those who have missed the special ending after the credits, go watch shrek 2 again". WHAT THE !@#$%^&*. i was so pissed with myself. why didn't i just stay in the cinema longer?! argh!! and i don't think i would wanna watch the movie again just to catch that special ending. oh well.. i heard that it was cute. sigh.. ok.. i shall just comfort myself by thinking that it is just some dumb, silly yet entertaining and hilarious ending. ok. that's it. from now onwards.. i shall stay in a cinema till the lights are on and the credits are done.
anw.. to all friends.. happy holidays.. happy mugging.. happy slacking. i miss you guys.
