settling back in seems to be tougher than i've imagined. and i dont know if its because i've been away for too long, or that i've changed over the past 3 years. on my flight back to singapore, the leading steward who was chatting to me claimed that i've lost my singaporean accent. but he said, "don't worry, it'll come back to you soon." and i wondered if i ever had one.
weather aside, i think its the 'culture' that i find it hard to get used to again. (no, im not referring to where to stand on escalators.) i find it tough to re-accept the traditional chinese mindset. but going away was never a mistake. i just need to learn how to re-integrate back in harmony.
